This summer, Gerard Byrne Studio will showcase Gerard’s work at the Hamptons Fine Art Fair (HFAF). Named by Forbes Magazine as one of the 12 Art Fairs And Events In 2025 Worth Traveling To, HFAF draws a diverse mix of serious collectors, art lovers, and cultural institutions. Our Solo Artist Booth will offer an ambitious presentation of over fifteen works, and will be located at Pollock Pavilion, Main Avenue, Booth No. 418.
Gerard Byrne Studio will exhibit a carefully curated glimpse into Byrne's latest collection, featuring works inspired by his experience painting en plein air in New York City during the Fall of 2024. These new pieces capture the urban rhythm and architecture that define the historic districts of Lower Manhattan. Alongside these urban impressions, Byrne's Hamptons presentation includes his latest signature figurative works, still life and seascape.
Byrne's approach echoes the quiet emotion of Edward Hopper and Monet's atmospheric gaze, yet remains distinctly his own. Each painting—whether created in the controlled environment of his studio or on the streets of Manhattan—reflects Byrne's instinctive ability to elevate the ordinary into the extraordinary.
“What I paint is not what I see, but the way it moves me—a painting is never of an emotion, it is the emotion.”
—Gerard Byrne
Moreover, Byrne has been invited to perform a live painting demonstration on Sunday July 13 at the fair, offering an exclusive glimpse into his creative process.
Located between Southampton Golf Club and Mercedes-Benz of Southampton, HFAF is a spectacle and for Byrne, it’s a symptom of his unwavering dedication as an artist who never let go of his dream. After 35 years of commitment to his vibrant palette and bold compositions, this summer, Byrne’s dream is taking a giant leap forward.
