Gerard Byrne Gallery is dedicated to showcasing the work of Gerard Byrne, Ireland's foremost Modern Impressionist. Located in the heart of Dublin, we offer collectors and visitors a unique opportunity to engage with exceptional contemporary Irish art in a welcoming and inspiring environment.

As our gallery continues to grow, we are seeking a commercially driven and relationship-focused Gallery Sales Manager to help expand our presence across both the Irish and international art markets.



 

The Role

 

As Gallery Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales, developing new business opportunities, and building lasting relationships with collectors, corporate clients, interior designers, art consultants, and prospective buyers.

You will represent the gallery with professionalism and confidence, delivering an exceptional client experience while proactively identifying opportunities to grow our audience, sales pipeline, and client base.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with private collectors, corporate clients, interior designers, and art consultants.

  • Drive artwork sales through both in-gallery engagement and proactive business development activities.

  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, partnerships, referrals, events, and strategic outreach.

  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline across private and corporate collections.

  • Manage sales processes from initial enquiry through to closing and ongoing client relationship management.

  • Deliver an exceptional, luxury-level client experience that reflects the quality and integrity of the gallery and artist.

  • Collaborate on exhibitions, events, marketing initiatives, and client engagement strategies.

  • Maintain and grow the gallery's client database, ensuring effective follow-up and relationship nurturing.

  • Contribute to gallery operations, team initiatives, and broader business development objectives.

What We're Looking For

 

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in luxury sales, fine art, or other high-value sales environments.

  • Proven track record of building relationships and delivering strong commercial results.

  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, and communication skills.

  • Confidence engaging with high-net-worth individuals, corporate decision-makers, and professional advisors.

  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and develop new opportunities.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple client relationships and projects simultaneously.

  • Interest in contemporary art and the Irish art market.

  • Availability to work full-time, including occasional evenings and weekends for exhibitions and events.
