Gerard Byrne returns to exhibit in Dingle after 14 years since his last solo exhibition at the Greenlane Gallery in 2007. Byrne shows his latest collection of work created during this summer staycation in Dingle Peninsula. He focuses on the coastal landscape, unfolds the wonders of nature, the power of the ocean and its imprint on the west coast of Ireland. As a former Lighthouse Technician with Irish Lights Gerard’s inspiration comes from observing the vastness of the sea. Byrne’s oil painting is distinctive for its vibrant palette, expressive brushwork and skillful contrasts of light and shade.
