BOTANICAL FUSION. INTERACTIVE 360 VIRTUAL EXHIBITION & GALLERY TOUR: GERARD BYRNE STUDIO - VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE

Overview
The Gerard Byrne Studio is proud to open its door virtually and present GERARD BYRNE: Modern Irish Impressionist's first ever collection of lush tropical flora plein air paintings from Southeast Asia. 
 
On display BOTANICAL FUSION. Singapore to Dublin exhibition with 42 paintings spread across four gallery rooms. The physical exhibition was launched on 27th February 2020 by Mr Ron Bolger, Honorary Consul - General of Singapore in Ireland. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the gallery had to close temporarily and Byrne's botanical paintings could not be seen by the public in the artist's home country. While over a period of ten weeks it was seen by over 50,000 visitors to the Singapore Botanic Gardens as part of the commemorative celebrations of the Gardens' 160 years in existence.
 
The interactive virtual tour gives an opportunity to take a leisurely stroll through the gallery rooms from the comfort of your home. Viewers can transport themselves behind our walls where they are free to navigate and explore the works on display at their own pace. 
Paintings can be viewed in detail while enjoying a selection of audio recordings from our guests: Ireland's Ambassador to Singapore Patrick Bourne and Honorary Consul-General of Singapore in Ireland Ron Bolger, as well as the artist himself.
